Storyline Summary

In the late twenty-first century, humankind develops the capacity for high-speed, interstellar travel. Along
a period of years, several planets have been populated.  Then the mysterious race known as the Rirak-Ka began their relentless assault on humanity. Now, mankind is in a seemingly endless battle fighting for its very survival. While the defeated soldiers of humanity are constantly being assimilated into the Rirakian ranks, giving them an endless supply of troops, the colonies have become almost deserted of any kind of military and police personnel.  Because of this, gangs roam free in the towns with nearly limitless power. Coming to the aid of human civilization are the psionically empowered cults, helping to guard against invasion.

Timeline of Human Interstellar Colonization & The Colonial wars.
2067
Scientists worldwide are straining to solve the problems of overpopulation, pollution, and lack of natural resources on Earth.
2085
A government founded research facility has successfully completed controlled tests of a process that they have called sub dimensional transport. This process opens a momentary gateway between two locations at which an object can pass through at high speeds. Work is in progress to advance this process for use in transport.
2109
Tests completed on interstellar use of sub dimensional transport (new tech phrase-SdT). Plans are made to use this process in interstellar colonization (or, if necessary, mandatory relocation).
2124
The first Terran colonization outside of Earth's star system has been completed on Baramus, an Earth type planet.
2125-2204
Continued colonization has created several new societies on Terran like worlds, inhospitable planets, lifeless areas such as Luna, and even free floating space stations.
2205-2210
The Colonial Wars- The revolutions for independence occur on the new colonies.
2210
With almost all of the colonies (and, therefore, sources of income) declared free, the various governments of Terra lie in financial chaos. These governments are quickly taken over by a new government known as The Federated Terran Empire.
2216
Border space station Ceres was found severely damaged and with no sign of crew or of docked ships by a search & rescue team two weeks after transmissions ended. All ships and outposts sector wide are put on alert.
2217-(June)
A distress call is received from a research vessel in the unpopulated Delaney system. Upon investigation, nothing is found, not even the ship.
2217-(September)
A military vessel fights an unidentified craft off of a transport. A message is found coded in the vessel's computer.
2217- (October)
The message has been uncoded (it was originally unreadable by the ship's communication systems) the best way of translating the message into human symbols is as follows - velklosmeralroknankekekaasonnorrcha.
2218
Several governments have declared war upon the Rirak-Ka (as they have been titled).
2219
After a fierce battle, the Lancelot (a military vessel believed to have been destroyed in battle with the Rirak-Ka) was found adrift among the remains of the Alrok-nan fleet. Most of its hull was partially re-constructed in Rirakian style. The crew was found in stasis and, like the ship, they were partially transformed into Riraks themselves. The vessel has been moved to a nearby research station for quarantine and to inspect the ship's remains.
2220
Research has been completed on the Lancelot and its crew. It seems that this is the Riraks way of reproduction and construction. By invading hosts and altering their biological makeup, the creatures further their existence. This explains the species' unprovoked attack on humanity.
2221
Alteran is now the first planetary colony to fall to the Rirakian invasion. An outlying and relatively uninhabited colony, Alteran has been almost completely assimilated by the invaders.
2224
First human destruction of an entire fleet of Rirakian invaders at Valderan.  Fleet Intelligence suggests that the Rirak-Ka have a hive like society.
2235-(PRESENT)
Skirmishes continue.
